Using BTC-dev
To post a message to all the list members, send email to

You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Regardless of subscription, message must contain clearsigned plain text from members of the Web of Trust of #bitcoin-assets, who have positive level 1 or level 2 trust from assbot there. Subscription from same email as in your PGP key is still recommended, because you won't get any bounces otherwise.

PGP-clearsigned text is designed to withstand email transmission, but many e-mail clients do incompatible modifications. If your messages aren't received, consider:

  • check if your email client wraps lines or does other untoward modifications to the text (CR/LF newline conversions are fine). Check the message in your outbox if the signature is valid and compare with the original for any changes. Recommended process is to pipe the signed message text directly to mailx or similar client without ambitions.
  • OR: leave the text empty and send the clearsigned message as first attachment. To be displayed in the archives and not scrubbed, name it "something.txt" (it needs to have text/plain mimetype).
  • OR: Use S/MIME if supported by your email client to sign whole message.
Submitting patches and signatures

See Creating, Naming, and Submitting a Vpatch guidelines. These are not enforced by mailman but make management of patches much easier.

Regardless of what is attached, message must first contain clearsigned text as outlined above; comprehensive description of what is attached and what the patch applies on, etc. is favorable.
